Masahiro Nasu, Ph.D., is a professor of curriculum and instruction at faculty of human science, department of education, Sophia University. He is a member of curriculum working group of central council for education in Japan and is also a director-general of Japanese society of education for individual development. Recently, his work focuses specifically on the development of elementary school curriculum and lesson from the perspective of competency-based education and their impact on the cognitive and non- cognitive skills and quality of knowledges acquired by students.
